General Info

If you’re exploring Asian dining spots in North Hollywood, Pa Ord Thai & Sushi stands out as a casual yet memorable place to enjoy bold flavors and comforting dishes. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt relaxed and welcoming-perfect whether you’re stopping by for solo dining or meeting up with friends for dinner.

The menu is where things really shine. It’s diverse without being overwhelming, and every dish feels thoughtfully prepared. One standout is the Thai Papaya Salad Without Shrimp. It’s fresh, tangy, and has just the right balance of crunch and spice. If you’re into savory street-style bites, the Pork Jerky is a must-try-slightly sweet, perfectly chewy, and incredibly satisfying. Meanwhile, the Mussels Pancake brings something unique to the table, combining rich seafood flavors with a crispy texture that makes it hard to stop at just one bite.

What surprised me most was seeing Pinakbet on the menu. This vegetable-forward dish adds a hearty, home-style touch that complements the Thai and sushi offerings beautifully. It’s a great option if you’re looking for something wholesome yet full of flavor. The variety across the menu makes it easy to mix and match small plates, which is ideal if you like sampling different tastes in one sitting.

Service here is fast and efficient, which makes a big difference, especially during dinner hours. Even with a steady flow of customers, the staff keeps things moving without making you feel rushed. The setup is also practical, with a wheelchair accessible restroom that ensures a more inclusive dining experience for all guests.

From my experience, this location feels like one of those neighborhood gems you keep coming back to. Reviews often highlight the consistency, and I can see why. Whether you’re craving Thai classics, sushi rolls, or something a little different, the menu delivers with confidence and clarity.

Overall, it’s the kind of restaurant where the food speaks for itself, the service supports the experience, and every visit feels easy and enjoyable.

“ My husband and I wanted to try a new Thai place so we came here thinking it was the one we saw online, we parked and noticed it was the wrong one but were to hungry so we ended up trying it and OMG this place is so good and our waitress was extremely nice! We got the orange chicken, Chinese broccoli with crispy pork mild, chicken chow mein and a small white rice, the chow mein and Chinese broccoli dish had a really good smoky flavor would definitely come back this time with my whole family. We also got Singha beer each it's a good light beer. ”

“ Excellent fast service and excellent food -- I had the Issan sausage and it was delicious , and the seafood dish -- clams! -- was also very good! The broth was aromatic and tasty. Also big kudos for having incredibly fresh garnishes, they were carefully displayed and showed the care and attention the staff of this restaurant bring to their work ”

“ The spicy seafood soup is amazing best I've had around. Around lunch time it's very quiet. The server was very polite and helpful. The noodles are very good and a bit salty. The rice is very good not too over powering in flavor. Next time I think I'll only go for the soup its that good. ”

“ Accidental yet fortunate find! My lady and were cruising looking for a place to eat and ended up deciding on Thai so we hit Sherman Way. We end up in this plaza for another Thai spot we saw on Yelp, but when we parked we noticed this restaurant was open as well. We saw the other place was small inside, which I don't mind at all, but we chose to eat here instead and we're happy we did. There's only a few Thai places in the Valley that we enjoy and this got added to our short list. The seafood soup and their chicken pad see ew was delicious. It tasted exactly how I like it with right amount of sourness from lemongrass and perfect amount of spice. I also liked the amount of rice provided, it was plenty enough and some more. The only thing I didn't like, the fact that they didn't have Sriracha available. Another thing I dislike and have noticed at restaurants of any scale is when they have dirty, greasy, oily, menus that they don't wipe clean. I jokingly mentioned it to our server. Once in a while they should be cleaning it. It doesn't feel sanitary holding a menu with food droppings of all kinds over it. I want to note how speedy the food came out too. I'd usually be sketched out when food comes out in under 10 minutes, but it was delicious and we enjoyed it. Definitely would come back for seconds. ”

“ Had a great time at this restaurant. The Thai dishes were well made, and the staff were super friendly. It's nice to finally have a restaurant near me that serves great Thai food. I also got the chance to experience some Filipino food, which were also quite tasty, and made me want to try out more Filipino dishes in the future. ”
